Club Alopex returns as a donation-based yoga pop-up studio in Central London
As part of September’s Alopecia Awareness Month, Club Alopex is relaunching as a pop-up yoga studio for the month of October at the old BBC London headquarters in Marylebone. Pay what you can – all profits will be going to Alopecia UK.
We will be hosting four weekly yoga classes on Thursday evenings, beginning on October 3, for people with alopecia and their invited guests. This wonderful space is located on the 3rd floor of the old BBC studios on Marylebone High Street.
Whether you are completely new to yoga, or a seasoned regular, these classes will be an opportunity to practice in a secure environment, improving your strength, flexibility and breathing, as well as increasing your sense of wellbeing. You will be guided through standing and seated postures, followed by breathing techniques and relaxation. The classes will be taken by Robert Newman, who himself suffered from alopecia for five years.
The four classes take place on October 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th. The classes will begin at 7pm, and last for 90 minutes. There will be a limited number of yoga mats available, but please bring your own if possible. Please arrive 10 minutes before the class begins.
To book classes, please email Robert, stating how many classes you wish to attend. Payment is via BACS; the suggested donation for all four classes is is £48 (£12 per class); suggested donation for single classes is £15. All profits from this yoga pop-up event will be donated to Alopecia UK.
